I've been looking into buying a new motherboard for my recently acquired Intel Core i5-12600K processor. Before making a final decision, I was hoping to get some advice from the community. Are there any specific brands or models that I should avoid when it comes to compatibility with this CPU?

From what I've read, you'll want to make sure your motherboard has an LGA 1700 socket and is compatible with a 700-series or 600-series chipset for the Intel Core i5-12600K. But regarding specific brands to avoid, can anyone provide some insight on that?
According to TechReviewer's article "Choosing the Best Motherboard for Intel's Core i5-12600K", you should steer clear of motherboards with W680 and Q670 chipsets. These are intended for workstation and business use cases and aren't suitable for general computing tasks or gaming. Also, ensure the motherboard supports overclocking if you plan on pushing your CPU beyond its default limits.
Thanks for the response, @daastheboss! I didn't realize there were specific chipsets designed for different purposes. Good to know that W680 and Q670 aren't ideal for my needs.
Another thing to consider is customer support. Some brands are known for providing excellent after-sales service, while others leave customers high and dry. Do any of you have experiences with specific motherboard brands that might be worth avoiding?
That's a good point, @palmettoquinn. I'll definitely keep that in mind when making my decision.
Personally, I've had great experiences with ASUS and Gigabyte motherboards. Their customer support has always been responsive and helpful whenever I needed assistance. So far, those are the two brands I would recommend for anyone looking to buy a new motherboard compatible with the Intel Core i5-12600K.
@Mauronic That's good to know! I've heard good things about those brands as well. Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll consider them for my purchase.
Thanks everyone for the advice! I think I have a better idea now of what to look for and which brands to avoid when shopping for a new motherboard. I appreciate the input from the community.
