Monitor Stand vs Wall Mount for C27-30?

Started by chocopewo on June 11, 2024

I recently bought a Lenovo C27-30 monitor and I'm trying to decide whether I should go for a monitor stand or wall mount. Can anyone share their experiences or recommendations?

@chocopewo, I hope my experience was helpful! If you do go for a monitor stand, make sure to check out the TechReviewer article Monitor Mounts & Stands for Lenovo's 27" C27-30 that @eightleggedrabbit mentioned earlier. It has some great tips and recommendations.

Hi @chocopewo! For me, going with a monitor stand was the way to go. It's more flexible in terms of positioning and you can save desk space too. Just make sure it has good cable management options. @chocopewo, I've used both stands and wall mounts with my monitors in the past. Wall mounts are great if you have limited desk space or want a clean look, but they can be tricky to install. Stands offer more flexibility and are usually easier to set up. It's really up to your personal preference.

@chocopewo, I've had a wall mount for my monitor before, and while it was great in terms of aesthetics and keeping the desk clear, it wasn't very easy to install. Also, you can't adjust the height as easily as with a stand. If you don't mind doing some DIY work and want a neat setup, go for the wall mount. Otherwise, I'd recommend a monitor stand.

@megaberg1, I agree that wall mounts can be a bit tricky to install, but if you're willing to put in the effort, they can really make your workspace look tidy. As long as you're comfortable with some DIY and don't mind the lack of height adjustment, a wall mount could be a good option.

Thanks for all the input! It's definitely helping me decide. The cable management is a big deal for me though, so maybe I'll lean towards a monitor stand. But I might still consider a wall mount in the future once we've moved and have more space to work with.

@chocopewo, that sounds like a good plan! And remember, you can always sell your current setup if you decide to switch to a wall mount later on. Good luck with your decision!
