I'm thinking about getting a monitor arm for my new Samsung 49" CRG9 and wanted some advice. Has anyone had experience with these?

Yeah, I've been using the Ergotron HX Single Ultrawide Monitor Desk Mount for my 49-inch monitor, and it's worked great so far! There's also a TechReviewer article about choosing the right monitor arm here: Monitor Mounts & Stands for Samsung's 49" CRG9

Solution

That's helpful, thanks. So do you think this particular mount can handle the weight of the Samsung 49" CRG9? It weighs 33 lbs.

Yes, definitely! The Ergotron HX Single Ultrawide Monitor Desk Mount is designed to support screens that weigh up to 42 lbs, so your 33 lb. Samsung 49" CRG9 should be well within its capacity.

I've used the VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount for my 49-inch monitor, and it's been working fine too. It has a higher weight capacity at 66 lbs, which is more than what you need for your Samsung 49" CRG9.

I've tried a couple of different mounts with my 49" monitor, but the one that worked best for me was the Ergotron LX Desk Mount. It's pretty sturdy and has a VESA compatibility that should work with your Samsung 49" CRG9.

Thanks for all the input! I'm leaning towards the Ergotron HX Single Ultrawide Monitor Desk Mount based on the weight capacity and positive experiences you guys have shared. Do any of you have suggestions for cable management, as that's another thing I'm concerned about?

The Ergotron HX has built-in cable management, which should help with keeping your cables organized and out of the way.

As for me, I use a cable sleeve to manage my cables. It's not built into the mount, but it works just as well.

Another option is to get a monitor arm with a cable tray or cable management compartment, which can help keep your desk looking neat and organized.

That's great advice! Thanks everyone for your input. I think I'll go ahead and purchase the Ergotron HX Single Ultrawide Monitor Desk Mount. Hopefully, it works as well for me as it has for all of you!

Good choice! Let us know how it goes once you've set it up.

Enjoy your new monitor arm!
