Wow, that's great news! @stefanezer. So if I connect my gaming console via HDMI 2.1, can I get the full 8K resolution? And is there any difference in quality between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.1?

@CandyBearXD, for gaming consoles, it would depend on whether your console supports 8K output or not. If it does, then yes, you can get the full 8K resolution with the TCL 85Q750G's HDMI 2.1 ports. As for HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.1 offers higher bandwidth, allowing for better performance at higher resolutions like 4K or even up to 8K in some cases.

@CandyBearXD, I just wanted to add that if your console doesn't support 8K output, don't worry! The TCL 85Q750G's HDMI 2.1 ports still provide excellent performance for 4K content and gaming at lower resolutions. The added bandwidth of HDMI 2.1 makes a huge difference when playing games or watching movies.

That's very helpful, thanks everyone. I guess I'll have to check my console's capabilities then. In the meantime, are there any specific games or movies that would benefit from using the HDMI 2.1 port?

@CandyBearXD, games and movies with high frame rates or dynamic resolution can definitely take advantage of the TCL 85Q750G's HDMI 2.1 ports. For example, fast-paced shooters or sports games might have smoother gameplay at higher resolutions. As for movies, anything with lots of motion, like action or animation, could benefit from the increased bandwidth.

Great advice, thanks! I'll definitely check out those types of content on my new TV. One last question - is there a specific HDMI cable that's recommended for this TV?

@CandyBearXD, we've found two great options for HDMI cables compatible with the TCL 85Q750G. The Anker 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable (6.6 ft) and the Monoprice 8K 48Gbps Certified Braided Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Cable are both excellent choices. They offer good performance and durability, so you can't go wrong with either of them.

Thanks for all your help, everyone! I'll take a look at those cable options and check my console's capabilities. Appreciate the advice!

No problem, @CandyBearXD! Happy viewing and gaming on your new TCL 85Q750G TV!
