Max Resolution on LG 55" BX HDMI Inputs?

Started by cortadodays on June 02, 2024

I just bought a new LG 55" BX TV and I'm curious to know the maximum resolution it supports via its HDMI inputs. Can anyone provide some information?

I've been using the LG 55" BX TV with a gaming console and can vouch for its performance. As for 10K resolution, while it's impressive, it may not be necessary for most people. The jump from 4K to 8K is more noticeable than from 8K to 10K in terms of image quality. However, if you have the budget and your eyes can truly discern the difference, go for it! Thanks for the info, @johnnieflint. I'm mostly interested in gaming and watching movies. Will I notice a significant difference between 4K and lower resolutions?

I've used both 4K and lower resolution content on my LG 55" BX TV, and the difference is quite noticeable. Especially when it comes to movies and shows, the extra detail in 4K makes for a much more immersive experience.

That's good to know, @Keebler8448. I'm thinking about getting a gaming console that supports 4K. Would you recommend upgrading to a 10K resolution if my budget allows it?

Solution

Thanks for the advice, @PicardToBridge. I'll probably stick with 4K for now and upgrade later if needed. Do you have any recommendations on which HDMI cables are suitable for this TV?

The Anker 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable is a great option for the LG 55" BX TV. It's durable, reliable, and supports high resolutions like 4K and even up to 10K if you decide to upgrade later.

That sounds perfect! I'll go with that one. Thanks everyone for your help!

Enjoy your new LG 55" BX TV and happy viewing, @cortadodays!

Same here, have fun with your setup, @cortadodays!
