I'm looking at getting a new TV and I'm wondering if the TCL 75Q750G has an 8K resolution? Can anyone help me out?

That makes sense. Thanks everyone for the input! I'll definitely check out the TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the TCL 75" 75Q750G TV for more details on its HDMI capabilities before making a decision.

The TCL 75" 75Q750G has a maximum resolution of up to 8K at 60 Hz, but it doesn't support 120 Hz for 8K. It does have a native refresh rate of 120 Hz for lower resolutions though.

Thanks for the info, @graemej1. So, if I want to watch movies in 8K, I can do that, but not at the same smoothness as lower resolutions?

Yeah, you got it. The 120 Hz refresh rate is only available for lower resolutions like 1080p and 4K. For 8K content, you'll have to stick with a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Just came across this TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the TCL 75" 75Q750G TV that talks about the HDMI capabilities of the TCL 75" 75Q750G TV. It discusses the TV's support for eARC and VRR, which could be helpful if you're planning on using it with a gaming console or sound system.

Oh nice, thanks @Sampledoubt! I didn't know about the HDMI 2.1 ports. That's good to know.

The TCL 75Q750G is great for watching movies and shows at 8K resolution, but it may not be the best choice if you're a hardcore gamer looking for a 120 Hz refresh rate at 8K.

Right, I think it all depends on what you prioritize. If you want to enjoy smooth 8K visuals, this TV is a good option. But if gaming performance at high resolutions is crucial to you, you might need to look for another TV with better specs in that regard.

That makes sense. Thanks everyone for the input! I'll definitely check out the TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the TCL 75" 75Q750G TV for more details on its HDMI capabilities before making a decision.
