Max HDMI Inputs on Sony 75" Z9J TV?

Started by courtfire on June 04, 2024

I'm looking to buy a new TV and am considering the Sony 75" Z9J. Can anyone tell me how many HDMI inputs it has? And if any of them support HDMI 2.1?

Hi @courtfire, the Sony 75" Z9J does have four HDMI inputs in total, with two HDMI 2.1 ports and two HDMI 2.0 ports. I also found an article on TechReviewer that goes into more detail about its HDMI capabilities. You can check it out here: HDMI Capabilities of the Sony 75" Z9J TV. It has all the info you need.

Thanks a lot, @wheatthin92! That's exactly what I was looking for. So, if I want to use an HDMI 2.1 cable, which of the two HDMI 2.1 ports should I use?

@courtfire, either port would work fine for an HDMI 2.1 cable. However, it might be a good idea to check the manual or Sony's website for any specific recommendations they might have.

Great, thanks for the advice, @arrghkelly. I appreciate it.

I recently bought a Sony 75" Z9J and I'm happy with it so far. Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is considering this TV.

Thanks for sharing, @diskdinomite! It's always helpful to hear from people who've actually used the TV. Did you have any issues with the HDMI inputs or cables?

I haven't had any problems with the HDMI inputs or cables on my Sony 75" Z9J. The HDMI 2.1 ports work great, and I've had no issues with signal quality or compatibility.

That's good to hear, @CptRavioli. It's always nice when things go smoothly. Are you using an HDMI 2.1 cable? If so, which one would you recommend?

Yes, I'm using an HDMI 2.1 cable. I got the Anker 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable (6.6 ft) and it's working perfectly with my TV. It's a bit pricey, but worth it for the quality and performance.

Thanks for the recommendation, @CptRavioli. I might consider getting one of those cables myself.
