I'm thinking about getting an LG 77" ZX TV. Can you give me any advice on what kind of HDMI cables I should use? I've heard that it's important.

Yeah, you're definitely going to want a good HDMI cable for your new TV! The TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the LG 77" ZX TV goes into detail about the HDMI capabilities of the LG 77" ZX. You might find it helpful!

I'll check that out! So is there any particular brand or type of HDMI cable I should look for?

It really depends on what you need. If you're going to be using your TV mostly for watching movies and shows, a regular HDMI cable might suffice. But if you plan on gaming or anything like that, you might want something with a higher refresh rate.

True! And don't forget about VRR and eARC support. The LG 77" ZX has those features, so make sure your cable can handle them. I've had great luck with Anker cables in the past.

Oh right, VRR and eARC! Thanks for the heads up. Any recommendations for a good HDMI cable that supports these features?

Solution

I'll read up on that. Just one more question - is there a particular length or type of cable I should get?

The cable length depends on where your TV and devices are located. Ideally, you'd want a cable long enough to reach without causing a mess. As for the type, make sure it's compatible with HDMI 2.1 if your TV has those ports.

Good point! And don't forget to get a cable that supports the refresh rates and features of your TV. I've been using an Anker 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable (6.6 ft) for my gaming setup, and it's worked great!

Awesome, thanks everyone! I think I have enough information to make an informed decision. Cheers!
