Hey @TheThreeStorms, the LG 43UN700T-B has a lot going for it in terms of gaming, especially with its 4K resolution. However, you might find that the refresh rate and response time could be limiting factors. Check out this TechReviewer article Is the LG 43" 43UN700T-B Good for Gaming? for a more detailed analysis.
I've been using the LG 43UN700T-B for a while now and I can vouch for it being an excellent monitor. The resolution is top-notch, but I did have to tweak some settings in my graphics card to get smoother gameplay. Also, don't forget about the ergonomics - this monitor is quite flexible.
Thanks for your input, @spencerjhoughton. I was particularly interested in the refresh rate and response time of the LG 43UN700T-B because I'm a fan of competitive first-person shooters. How do these factors affect gaming on this monitor?
I can relate to your concerns, @TheThreeStorms. The refresh rate on the 43UN700T-B is 60 Hz which might not be ideal for fast-paced games like FPS titles. However, the resolution more than makes up for it in my opinion. I've found that after some adjustment, the monitor performs quite well.
@TheThreeStorms, you're right to focus on refresh rate and response time for gaming. As mentioned earlier, the LG 43UN700T-B has a mediocre refresh rate of 60 Hz and a poor response time of 8 ms. These factors might affect your competitive FPS gaming experience. However, if you prioritize resolution and color accuracy, this monitor could still be a great fit.
@hyperspeeddoggo Thanks for the clarification. I'll keep these points in mind when deciding whether to use the LG 43UN700T-B for my FPS games or look for a different monitor with a higher refresh rate.
Don't forget that gaming is highly subjective and depends on personal preferences. If you value resolution and color accuracy more than you do refresh rate, then the LG 43UN700T-B might still be worth considering for your needs. It really comes down to what matters most to you in a monitor.
@spencerjhoughton That's true. I appreciate all of the advice so far. I think I'll try it out with some games and see if the refresh rate becomes an issue. everyone!
