LG 43UN700-B Response Time?

Started by freindlyintrovert on June 07, 2024

I'm looking at getting a new monitor and came across the LG 43" 43UN700-B. I've heard mixed things about its response time for gaming. Has anyone used it or can recommend something better?

If you're looking for something with a better response time, I would recommend checking out the TechReviewer article Is the LG 43" 43UN700-B Good for Gaming?. They did an in-depth analysis of gaming monitors and their response times. It could help you make a more informed decision.

I have been using the LG 43UN700-B for a while now and it's decent for general use, but I'm not sure if it's the best choice for gaming. The response time is quite slow at 8ms, which could cause some ghosting in fast-paced games.

Yeah, I've used it for gaming too and I didn't find the response time to be that big of an issue personally. Sure, there might have been a little bit of ghosting here and there, but it wasn't enough to bother me during gameplay. The resolution is amazing though, makes games look really sharp!

I agree with @Swanovan, the resolution on this monitor is great for gaming. However, if you're looking for something with better response time, you might want to check out the Dell Alienware 25" Gaming Monitor. It has a faster response time and a higher refresh rate.

Thanks for all the input! So based on your experiences, would you say that this monitor is good or bad for gaming?

I'd say it's mediocre for gaming. The slow response time can be an issue for some people, but if you don't mind a bit of ghosting and really value the high resolution, it could work for you.

That's true. It really depends on what you prioritize in a monitor. If you're willing to overlook the response time for the great resolution, this monitor can still be a good choice for gaming.

Agreed. I think it comes down to personal preference and what you value more in a monitor. Some might prefer faster response times over higher resolutions.

Based on your experiences, do any of you have recommendations for a monitor with better response time and still offering great resolution?
