I've recently bought a new LG 34WN780-B monitor, and I'm looking for some recommendations on the best mount or stand to use with it. Has anyone had experience using mounts with this particular model? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
LG 34WN780-B Monitor Mounts and Stands?
Started by FrodoBaggins89 on May 22, 2024
Hey @FrodoBaggins89, welcome to the forum! I've used a VESA mount with my LG 34WN780-B monitor, and it worked great for me. Have you checked out TechReviewer's article on compatible mounts for the LG 34" 34WN780-B? It can be found here: Monitor Mounts & Stands for LG's 34" 34WN780-B. They provide some recommendations based on weight support and compatibility.
Thanks for the link, @DylanOzanich! I had a look at the article you mentioned. It seems that there are different types of mounts like C-clamp, grommet, wall-mount, and desk stands. Can anyone share their experiences with these or suggest which one would be best suited for my LG 34WN780-B monitor?
I've used a C-clamp mount with my LG 34WN780-B, and it worked fine for me. However, the setup wasn't as stable as I'd have liked, especially when adjusting the height or tilt. A desk stand might be a better option if you want more adjustability.
@FrodoBaggins89, based on TechReviewer's article, they recommend some single-monitor desk mounts like AVLT Single Monitor Arm Desk Mount and Ergotron HX Single Ultrawide Monitor Desk Mount for your LG 34" 34WN780-B monitor. They also mention a budget-friendly option, the VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount.
I've used the VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount with my LG 34WN780-B, and it's been working well for me so far. It's a budget-friendly option, and I like that it has cable management features to keep things tidy.
Thanks for all the input, everyone! So, it seems like single-monitor desk mounts might be a good choice for my LG 34WN780-B monitor. But how important is cable management in your opinion? Should I prioritize that feature or focus more on other aspects like stability and adjustability?
That's a great question, @FrodoBaggins89. It really depends on your preferences and needs. For me, cable management wasn't a top priority, but it's nice to have an organized setup. If you're looking for something with good cable management, the VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount is worth considering.
I agree with @DylanOzanich. Cable management can be important, but it ultimately depends on your priorities. For me, stability and adjustability were more crucial. In the end, you'll want to find a balance that works best for you.
Thanks again, everyone! I think I'll do some more research on these single-monitor desk mounts and see which one fits my preferences and budget. Your input has been really helpful!
You're welcome, @FrodoBaggins89! Good luck with your search, and feel free to ask if you have any questions along the way.
