LG 32UN880-B: Good for Gaming?
Started by toodazed on May 02, 2024
The LG 32UN880-B is actually one of the best monitors we've tested in recent times. It has an excellent resolution and color accuracy, which makes it great for gaming. However, its refresh rate is a bit low at 60Hz, which might not be ideal for fast-paced games. I found this TechReviewer article Is the LG 32" 32UN880-B Good for Gaming? that goes into detail about whether the LG 32UN880-B is good for gaming or not.
Thanks for your response! That's interesting to know. So, you're saying it's a great monitor but could use an upgrade in terms of refresh rate?
Yeah, that's right. The LG 32UN880-B has a fantastic display with deep blacks and accurate colors, which are essential for gaming. However, the lower refresh rate might not be ideal for fast-paced games. But if you don't mind that, it could still make for an excellent monitor.
That's true. I've personally used this monitor for some time, and while I loved its display quality, I did notice some issues with slower-moving games. For example, when playing a strategy game like Civilization VI or a turn-based RPG like Divinity: Original Sin 2, the lower refresh rate wasn't noticeable. But in fast-paced games like Fortnite or Apex Legends, it was apparent.
That makes sense. So, if I'm mostly going to be playing slower games, would this monitor be good for me?
If you're mainly into strategy and turn-based games, the LG 32UN880-B is a fantastic choice. The high resolution and accurate colors will make your gaming experience more immersive. But if you plan on playing fast-paced games regularly, you might want to consider a monitor with a higher refresh rate.
Thanks for all the input! I think I'll give it a try and see how it works out for me. It's always good to have options though.
