Just to give you an idea, I've been using the VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount for my LG 32UN550-W and it's been working well so far. Plus, it has a pretty reasonable price point. You can find more information about different mounts in this TechReviewer article Monitor Mounts & Stands for LG's 32" 32UN550-W. It covers various options specifically for the LG 32UN550-W.

Hi @madmen55! I've been using the Ergotron LX desk mount with my LG 32UN550-W, and it's been fantastic. It provides great adjustability and is very sturdy. Highly recommended!

I agree with @cocoabeachbrews, the Ergotron LX is a solid choice. The cable management is also top-notch.

Solution

Thanks for the input! I'm still a bit undecided between the Ergotron LX and VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount. Can anyone compare their build quality or share any experiences with both?

@madmen55, I've used both mounts, and I must say that they are both great options in terms of build quality and sturdiness. The main difference is the Ergotron LX offers more adjustability, while the VIVO mount might be better for people with limited desk space due to its smaller size.

@madmen55, I've personally tried both mounts, and my experience was similar to @cocoabeachbrews's. They're both good options, but it ultimately comes down to your specific needs. If you need more adjustability and don't mind spending a bit extra, go for the Ergotron LX. If you're on a budget and have limited desk space, the VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount might be a better fit.

@madmen55, I'd also like to add that cable management is an important factor to consider when choosing a mount. The Ergotron LX has excellent cable management features, while the VIVO mount offers basic cable clips. Depending on your setup, this could be a deciding factor for you.

Based on your experiences and advice, I think I'll go with either the Ergotron LX or the VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount. Just one more question: does anyone have any tips on how to ensure the mount can support the weight of the monitor properly?

@madmen55, it's crucial to make sure you're using a mount that can handle the weight of your LG 32UN550-W (15 lb) without issue. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines for installation and make sure the desk or surface you're attaching the mount to is sturdy enough to support both the monitor and the mount.

@madmen55, another important thing to keep in mind is the VESA size compatibility of your chosen mount with the LG 32UN550-W (100 x 100 mm). The mount should clearly state that it supports this VESA size. Also, don't forget to check if any additional accessories like reinforcement plates are needed.

@madmen55, you might also want to look at reviews and ratings of the mounts you're considering. This will give you an idea of how well they've held up for other users and whether there have been any issues with weight support or durability.

Great advice, everyone! Thanks for your help. I'll do some more research and hopefully make a decision soon. Good to know about the VESA size compatibility and reinforcement plates as well.
