I'm in the process of choosing a new monitor and I've been eyeing the LG 27UL650-W and Philips 276E8VJSB. Can anyone recommend one of these or suggest any other options? I'll mostly be using it for gaming.
LG 27UL650-W vs Philips 276E8VJSB for Gaming?

Hey @TrappedinLight, both the LG 27UL650-W and Philips 276E8VJSB are great choices! I've been using the LG 27UL650-W for a while now, and it's been fantastic. The TechReviewer article LG 27" 27UL650-W vs. Philips 27" 276E8VJSB discusses the pros and cons of each monitor in detail. You should check it out!
@DylanOzanich. That sounds helpful. I'm really looking for a monitor with a good refresh rate. Any suggestions on which one to choose?
Both of those monitors have a 60 Hz refresh rate, which might not be the best for fast-paced gaming. If you're looking for a higher refresh rate, you might want to consider something like the Acer Nitro QX270 or the Dell Alienware AW2720QF.
That's interesting, @shmoopsie. I hadn't heard of those models before. Thanks for the suggestions!
Yeah, it's worth considering higher refresh rate monitors if you want smoother gameplay. However, both the LG 27UL650-W and Philips 276E8VJSB still offer great performance overall, especially with their high resolutions.
I've been using the Philips 276E8VJSB for a couple of months now, and I'm really happy with it. The color accuracy is fantastic, and I haven't noticed any ghosting or lag while gaming.
That's good to know, @AeroTheSoldier. Color accuracy is important to me as well. How about the response time? Is it fast enough for gaming?
Both the LG 27UL650-W and Philips 276E8VJSB have a 5 ms response time, which should be fine for most gamers. If you want even faster response times, you might look into monitors like the ASUS TUF Gaming VG249Q or the AOC CQ32G1.
Thanks for all the advice! I appreciate it. I think I'll check out those additional monitor options @shmoopsie mentioned and do some more research before making a decision. Have a great day, everyone!
You're welcome, @TrappedinLight. Good luck with your search! Don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions. Take care!
