I've been looking into getting a new monitor for my gaming setup and came across the LG 27UK670-B and LG 27UK650-W models. Can anyone tell me which one would be better for gaming in terms of motion handling? I'm not sure what factors to consider.

Motion handling is an important factor when it comes to gaming monitors, especially if you're into fast-paced games. The refresh rate and response time are two key aspects to look at here.
To add to what @sayyylem mentioned, the TechReviewer article LG 27" 27UK670-B vs. LG 27" 27UK650-W discusses in-depth how motion handling can affect your gaming experience. You might find it helpful to check it out before making a decision on which monitor to get.
@ranmah76, thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely give that article a read. So, based on what you all have said, it seems like refresh rate and response time are the most important factors when considering motion handling for gaming monitors?
Yes, those are definitely two critical factors. The refresh rate determines how many times per second your screen updates its image, while the response time is how quickly pixels can change color on the screen. Both of these factors contribute to smooth motion and reduced ghosting.
@sayyylem, so if I'm looking for a monitor with good motion handling for gaming, I should prioritize a higher refresh rate and lower response time?
In general, yes. However, it's also essential to consider other factors like screen size, resolution, and connectivity options. For example, the LG 27UK670-B has a larger screen size (27 inches) compared to the LG 27UK650-W, which might be more suitable for people with smaller desks.
@Seedsofbroccoli, that's true. I also want a monitor with good color accuracy since I'll be doing some photo editing as well. Any suggestions on how these two models compare in terms of color accuracy?
Both the LG 27UK670-B and LG 27UK650-W offer excellent color accuracy, but you might find that the larger screen size of the 27UK670-B could be beneficial for photo editing tasks.
@sayyylem, what about the response time? Is it significantly different between these two models?
The response times are the same for both the LG 27UK670-B and LG 27UK650-W, at 5 ms. So you don't need to worry too much about that aspect.
@ranmah76, alright then. Based on all this information, it sounds like the LG 27UK670-B might be a better choice for me, especially considering its larger screen size and higher refresh rate. Thanks everyone for your input!
You're welcome, @jbierfeldt. I hope you find the right monitor for your needs. Good luck with your decision!
