LG 27GN950-B vs Samsung 27" Odyssey G7 - Best Gaming Monitor?

MONITOR GAMING LG 27GN950-B SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7

Has anyone had experience with the LG 27GN950-B or Samsung 27" Odyssey G7 for gaming? I'm looking to upgrade my monitor soon.

Hey @ariadantir, I've used both of those monitors before and can give you a little comparison. I'd recommend checking out this TechReviewer article LG 27" 27GN950-B vs. Samsung 27" Odyssey G7 for an in-depth analysis. Basically, the Odyssey G7 has a better refresh rate at 240Hz compared to the LG's 144Hz, but the LG monitor has higher resolution. Both have excellent response times though.

I've been using the LG 27GN950-B for a while now, and it's amazing! The color accuracy and brightness are top-notch. I haven't noticed any issues so far.

Thanks @RareAndRadiantMaiden. That's really helpful. I'm leaning more towards the Samsung Odyssey G7 now because of the higher refresh rate.

I had the chance to use both monitors as well, and I agree with what @RareAndRadiantMaiden said. The Odyssey G7 is fantastic for gaming, especially if you're into fast-paced games or esports. The 240Hz refresh rate really makes a difference in those situations.

Yeah, the LG monitor is still great though. It's perfect if you mostly play less demanding games or do a lot of productivity work alongside gaming.

Thanks everyone for your input! I think I'll go with the Samsung Odyssey G7 since it has better specs overall for gaming. But I'll keep the LG 27GN950-B in mind for when I need a more general-purpose monitor.
