I've been researching monitors for my new gaming setup and I came across the LG 27GL650F-B and Gigabyte G27F. Has anyone used these before? Are they any good for gaming?
LG 27GL650F-B vs. Gigabyte G27F - Response Time Comparison?
Started by brazilianpeppertree on June 14, 2024
I've tried both of them! Both are great choices, but they have some differences. The LG 27GL650F-B has a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 1 ms, while the Gigabyte G27F has a refresh rate of the same 144 Hz but a slightly lower response time of 0.5 ms. For gaming, both are excellent choices.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @vivalahudak. I've been looking at TechReviewer articles and found this comparison of the two monitors: LG 27" 27GL650F-B vs. Gigabyte 27" G27F. It might help you make a more informed decision.
Wow, that's really helpful. So, according to the article, the main difference between them is the response time. Should I prioritize the 1 ms response time of the LG monitor or the 0.5 ms response time of the Gigabyte monitor?
It depends on your budget and what you need more for gaming. A lower response time generally means smoother motion, but it also comes at a higher price.
I've been using the Gigabyte G27F for a few months now, and I must say that the 0.5 ms response time really makes a difference in fast-paced games like Overwatch and COD. The colors are also vibrant, making every game more immersive.
That's great to hear, @Spartan033. Thanks for sharing your experience. I think I might go with the Gigabyte G27F then. Any suggestions on how to set up my gaming desk?
The TechReviewer article I mentioned earlier also provides some insights into monitor setup and positioning for optimal gaming experience. It's worth checking out: LG 27" 27GL650F-B vs. Gigabyte 27" G27F.
