Hi @sparklzx, The HP 27" P27h G5 has some pretty decent specs for gaming. You can check out a detailed review on TechReviewer at Is the HP 27" P27h G5 Good for Gaming? if you're interested. The display panel is an IPS, which offers good color accuracy and wide viewing angles. The resolution is Full HD (1920 x 1080), which should be sufficient for most games. The refresh rate is 75 Hz, which is pretty standard for gaming monitors. Lastly, the response time is 5 ms, which is also fairly typical for a monitor in this price range.

Thanks @modulos04! I was curious about the color accuracy and how that plays into gaming. Is it important or mostly noticed during editing or graphic design?

Color accuracy is more noticeable in non-gaming activities like photo/video editing, graphic design, and content creation. For gaming, having a good display panel with accurate colors can make a difference, especially when playing games with rich visuals or working on color-sensitive tasks while gaming.

Good to know @RayJoyc3! I've been mostly playing FPS games lately, so color accuracy doesn't seem too important for me. What about the resolution? Is Full HD enough for gaming?

Full HD (1920 x 1080) is more than enough for most gamers, especially if you're primarily playing FPS games or other titles where performance and framerate are critical. Higher resolutions like QHD and 4K can offer better image quality and more screen real estate, but they also require more powerful hardware to run smoothly.

Great, thanks @plutoandluna! I'm on a budget, so I'm trying to find the best balance between performance and cost. The 75 Hz refresh rate seems like a decent compromise?

Yes, @sparklzx, a 75 Hz refresh rate is generally good for most gamers. It should provide smooth gameplay without breaking the bank. However, if you're interested in faster-paced games or more competitive gaming, you might want to consider monitors with higher refresh rates (120 Hz and above).

@sparklzx, another thing to keep in mind is input lag. A low response time can help minimize input lag, which is especially important for fast-paced games where quick reflexes are crucial.
