I'm considering getting a new CPU for content creation and was wondering if the i9-9900K or the i7-9700K would be better. Any advice?

Both are great CPUs but for content creation, it depends on your needs. If you're doing video editing or encoding, the i9-9900K might have an edge due to its larger cache.
Yeah, and I just read this TechReviewer article Intel Core i9-9900K vs. Intel Core i7-9700K that compares them in detail. The i9-9900K has a 16 MB L3 cache while the i7-9700K has a 12 MB one. That could make a difference when working with large files or multiple apps at once.
Thanks for sharing, @chefcella. So it sounds like the i9-9900K might be better if I'm doing heavy multitasking or working with big data?
Exactly, @TheMightyLimee. But remember that both are excellent choices and you'll get great performance with either one. It really comes down to your specific use case.
I've been using the i7-9700K for a while now and it's served me well in my content creation projects. The 12 MB cache is more than enough for my needs, and I haven't noticed any significant performance difference compared to the i9-9900K.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @daastheboss. It sounds like the i7-9700K can still be a great choice depending on the project.
