@birdmancsgo, you should also consider the TechReviewer article Intel Core i9-14900K vs. Intel Core i7-13700K for an in-depth comparison between these two CPUs. It covers their performance in various aspects like core types, frequencies, cache capacities, and overclocking support.

Both the i9-14900K and i7-13700K are excellent choices for video editing, but they do have some differences that might make one more suitable for you depending on your needs. The i9-14900K has a higher core count, which can be beneficial when working with large files or multiple applications simultaneously.

I've used both the i9-14900K and i7-13700K for video editing, and I found that the i9-14900K provided better performance overall. The extra cores really made a difference when rendering and exporting large files.

Solution

Thanks for sharing that link, @lilwoodchuck. I've read it, and it seems the i9-14900K has a slight edge over the i7-13700K when it comes to video editing tasks due to its higher core count, larger L3 cache capacity, and better support for DDR speeds. However, both are great processors.

That's really helpful information! Based on what you've said, it seems like the i9-14900K might be a better choice for me since I often work with large files and multiple applications at once. Thanks for the advice, everyone!

You're welcome, @birdmancsgo. Just make sure to have a good cooling solution because both CPUs can get pretty hot under heavy load.

Yeah, don't forget that either! Good luck with your decision, @birdmancsgo. Let us know if you have any other questions or need more advice.

Absolutely! If you ever need further clarification or information on video editing hardware, feel free to ask. We're here to help!

I'll definitely keep that in mind and reach out if I have more questions. For now, I think the i9-14900K seems like the best choice for my needs.
