Started by HunterS33 on May 29, 2024

I recently picked up an Intel Core i9-14900K CPU, and I'm having trouble finding the best cooling solution for it. Has anyone had experience with this specific CPU and its cooling requirements? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Hi @HunterS33, I've been using the Intel Core i9-14900K for a while now, and I can vouch that it does require a good cooling solution to maintain stable performance. The TechReviewer article Intel Core i9-14900K vs. Intel Core i9-11900K provides an in-depth analysis of various coolers compatible with this CPU. You might want to check it out.

Solution

@HunterS33, I've been using the Noctua NH-U14S TR-SP4 cooler with my i9-14900K, and it's been working great so far! It's a bit pricey, but the performance is top-notch. The airflow is fantastic, and it keeps my CPU cool under heavy loads.

@HunterS33, I've found that the NZXT Kraken X63 RGB cooler has been serving me well with my i9-14900K. It has a beautiful design and excellent cooling capabilities. However, I did have to tinker with the fans' speed settings to get the best balance between noise and performance.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! @cottonmouthbob's article suggestion seems promising, so I'll check it out. The Noctua (@BillFromAccounting7) and NZXT (@EskeetmoJoe) coolers both sound great too. I think I might try them both to see which one works best for me.

Hey, I recently upgraded my system with the i9-14900K and used the Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM cooler. It's been working well so far, but it does take up a bit more room in my case than I expected. Still, the cooling performance is impressive.

Thanks for all the input! I've read through the TechReviewer article (from @cottonmouthbob) and checked out the coolers suggested by everyone here. Based on the article and your experiences, it seems like any of these options would work well with my i9-14900K. I'll probably try a couple and see which one I prefer.

That's great to hear, @HunterS33! Just remember to monitor the temperatures regularly to ensure everything is running smoothly. Good luck with your cooling setup!
