Solution

Thanks, @HyperionGM! That's really helpful. I was particularly interested in the single-core performance and the number of cores since most games nowadays seem to be quite demanding.

Yeah, I've been using the i9-14900 for a few months now, and it's amazing for gaming! The 5.80 GHz turbo boost is a huge plus.

I've had good experience with the i5-13600 too. It works well for less demanding games, but if you're into more intensive titles, the i9-14900 might be worth the extra investment.

Good to know! @Klonebros and @Verdilac, what were your experiences with multitasking while gaming? I'm curious how these CPUs handle that aspect.

That's a great question. Both CPUs perform well in multitasking situations, but the i9-14900 has a slight edge due to its higher base frequency and larger L3 cache. This allows it to keep up with demanding applications while gaming without slowing down too much.

Thanks for the input, everyone! I think I'll go for the i9-14900 then. Also, @HyperionGM, your link was really insightful. I'm looking forward to building my new rig!

Awesome, happy to help! Good luck with your build and let us know how it goes!
