Intel Core i9-14900 vs. i3-14100F for Gaming

I've been looking into getting a new CPU for my gaming setup and I'm trying to decide between the Intel Core i9-14900 and the i3-14100F. I've heard that the i9 is better for gaming but I'm not sure why. Any advice would be appreciated!
