I'm currently trying to decide between the Intel Core i9-13900KS and the Intel Core i7-9700K for my new PC build. Can anyone share their thoughts on which one is better? Any help would be appreciated!
Intel Core i9-13900KS vs. Intel Core i7-9700K?

Hi @BeagleInSpace, both processors are excellent options but they do have some differences. The i9-13900KS has more core counts, higher frequencies, and a larger cache compared to the i7-9700K. These differences could potentially result in better performance for the i9-13900KS.
Hey @BeagleInSpace, I recently read an article on TechReviewer that compares these two CPUs. The i9-13900KS outperforms the i7-9700K in terms of core types, core counts, frequencies, and cache capacities. You might find it helpful to check it out: Intel Core i9-13900KS vs. Intel Core i7-9700K. It could help you make a more informed decision.
Thanks for sharing that @Joaolicia, I'll definitely take a look at the TechReviewer article. Just out of curiosity though, how much of a difference would I notice in terms of daily use and gaming performance between these two CPUs?
For day-to-day tasks like web browsing, document editing, and streaming, you might not see a significant difference between the i9-13900KS and i7-9700K due to their similar base frequencies. However, for more intensive tasks or when running resource-intensive applications, the i9-13900KS may provide better performance.
When it comes to gaming, both CPUs should offer excellent performance. The difference in core counts might be more noticeable in games that are more demanding on CPU resources, like strategy games and simulations. But for most modern games, a high-end GPU will be the primary factor contributing to performance.
That makes sense @newasianinvestor and @Seedsofbroccoli. It seems like the i9-13900KS would be better suited for heavy multitasking or if I plan on doing some serious content creation. But for my use case, which is mostly gaming and some light video editing, the i7-9700K might still do the job just fine.
You're right @BeagleInSpace. It really depends on your specific needs and budget. Both CPUs offer excellent support for overclocking, so if you're into that, either one could be a great choice. Just make sure to have a good cooler!
Good advice @Joaolicia. Thanks everyone for the input! I'll read the TechReviewer article and see what I think. Maybe I'll end up going with whichever CPU is on sale or has better availability at the time.
Sounds like a plan, @BeagleInSpace. Just remember to consider your budget and your specific use case when making your decision. Good luck with your build!
