I recently decided to upgrade my CPU and I'm torn between the Intel Core i9-13900KS and the Intel Core i9-11900K. Can anyone share their thoughts or experiences with these two? I'd appreciate any advice.

Thanks for all the input, everyone. I'll read through the TechReviewer article Intel Core i9-13900KS vs. Intel Core i9-11900K that @Maya1010 shared and see if the 13900KS is within my budget. Hopefully, it is! If not, I may have to stick with the 11900K.

The 13900KS has better performance in most aspects compared to the 11900K, such as core types, core counts, frequencies, cache capacities, and support for DDR5 and PCIe 5.0. It also features 8 performance cores, 16 efficiency cores, a 3.20 GHz P-core base frequency, a single-core max turbo boost frequency of 6.00 GHz, and a 36 MB L3 cache. These improvements make the Core i9-13900KS better suited for gaming, general app usage, and professional tools compared to the Core i9-11900K.

@Nick2k0507, I would suggest checking out this TechReviewer article Intel Core i9-13900KS vs. Intel Core i9-11900K that compares the two CPUs in detail. It gives a comprehensive analysis of their performance, features, and use cases. That might help you make an informed decision!

Thanks for sharing that link, @Maya1010. After reading it, I found that the 13900KS outperforms the 11900K in almost every aspect, so I think I'll go with the 13900KS. But I'm still a bit concerned about the price difference and overall value.

That's good to know, @stellamilanese. The 13900KS is indeed a better choice if you need the extra performance for your work or gaming setup. As for the price difference, it really depends on your budget and whether you think the extra features are worth the additional cost. If you can afford it and those features will benefit you, then go for it.

Solution

No problem, @Nick2k0507. Just make sure to also consider other factors like cooling solutions and power supply requirements when choosing your new CPU. Good luck with your decision!

@sealion27 Thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely take that into account as well. Fingers crossed that I can afford the 13900KS if it's the better option for me.

@stellamilanese Same here. And who knows, maybe there will be a discount or some sort of deal soon that makes the 13900KS more accessible to me.

Good luck with your decision, @Nick2k0507. I hope you find the right CPU for your needs and budget. If you have any questions later on, feel free to ask!

@Maya1010 I'll definitely keep that in mind if I have any questions down the line.

And good luck to you too, @Nick2k0507. Remember, whichever CPU you choose, it's important to make sure it's compatible with your other hardware and comes with a good warranty or return policy just in case anything goes wrong.

@stellamilanese Absolutely! Happy shopping and best of luck with your upgrade!

Cheers to that! Good luck everyone!

I'll be sure to keep all these points in mind as I make my decision. Have a great day!
