I've been looking at some new CPUs and came across the Intel Core i9-13900K and i5-13600KF. Which one would be better for gaming? Any advice?
Intel Core i9-13900K vs. i5-13600KF - Better for Gaming?

Both CPUs are pretty great, but the i9-13900K has a higher single-core max turbo boost frequency (5.80 GHz) compared to the i5-13600KF's 5.10 GHz. This could make a noticeable difference in gaming performance.
The 13900K also has more cores (24) than the i5-13600KF's 14 cores, which can help improve performance in games that use them efficiently. That being said, most modern games don't benefit much from having more than 6-8 cores.
To add to what @triple-t-type said, there's a TechReviewer article Intel Core i9-13900K vs. Intel Core i5-13600KF discussing how the i9-13900K outperforms the i5-13600KF in gaming due to its higher single-core max turbo boost frequency and greater core count. It could be worth checking out for more insights.
That's really useful information, thanks! The higher frequency and core count on the i9-13900K definitely make it seem like a better choice for gaming. But I'm also considering other factors like overclocking support and DDR5 speeds.
Both CPUs offer excellent overclocking support and support DDR5 with a max stock speed of 5600 MHz, so you'll have similar potential for upgrading in both cases.
It's true, the PCIe support is also on par for both CPUs, with both supporting PCIe 5.0 for fast SSDs and graphics cards.
It's hard to make a definitive choice without trying them out personally, but based on the specs, the i9-13900K seems like it would be better suited for gaming due to its higher single-core max turbo boost frequency and greater core count. However, your own preferences and budget should also play a role in your decision.
Thanks everyone for the advice! I'll definitely check out the Intel Core i9-13900K vs. Intel Core i5-13600KF article you mentioned and weigh my options carefully before making a decision.
