That's a great question! According to the TechReviewer article Choosing the Best Power Supply for Intel's Core i9-13900K CPU we discussed earlier, the recommended power supply wattage for your top-tier build would be around 1000 watts. The EVGA SuperNOVA G5 Series Fully Modular Power Supply seems like a good choice!

Sure thing! First of all, you'll want to consider the wattage range based on your components. For top-tier components, aim for 750–1650W; mid-tier, 450–750W; and value-tier, 450–750W. Check this TechReviewer article Choosing the Best Power Supply for Intel's Core i9-13900K CPU for a detailed breakdown.

That's really helpful! I'm leaning towards the top-tier category, so I guess I'll need something around 1000 watts. Any recommendations on brands to trust?

You might want to look into Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Series 80+ Gold Full Modular ATX 3.0 PCIe Gen 5 Power Supply. It has great reviews and comes with a 750–1650 watt option.

Thanks, @modulos04 and @AndItsDrew. I've also heard good things about the EVGA SuperNOVA G5 Series Fully Modular Power Supply (220-G5-0650-X1) in the mid-tier range. Would that work for my components?

Solution

Another option to consider is Corsair SF series power supplies, which are available in both mid and value-tier wattages. They're known for their quality and reliability.

Wow, there are so many options! I appreciate all the suggestions. Now, I also need some advice on choosing an 80 PLUS certified PSU. What's your take on that?

Good point! An 80 PLUS certification ensures efficiency in power usage. You can choose between different levels like Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Titanium. The higher the level, the more efficient the PSU. So, for a top-tier build, it might be worth investing in a Gold or Platinum certified PSU.

Exactly! And don't forget to add a 100-150 watt buffer for future component upgrades or potential miscalculations. It's always better to have a bit extra power capacity than not enough!

That's really useful advice, guys. Thanks for your help! I'll definitely keep those tips in mind while selecting my PSU for the Intel Core i9-13900K build.

You're welcome, @Jedibless. Good luck with your build! And remember to check out TechReviewer's article on power supply selection for more insights.
