Started by feariarann on July 11, 2024

I'm considering buying a new CPU and can't decide between the Intel Core i9-13900F and the i9-11900K. Has anyone here used either of these? Any advice on which one is better for gaming and general use?

Wow, thanks for sharing your experience! I'm curious, how does the extra core count and higher turbo frequencies affect gaming in particular?

As someone who works with video editing software, I can say that the 13900F is a massive upgrade from my previous CPU. The extra cores really make a difference when handling large files or multiple instances of applications.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in here. Both CPUs are great for their respective use cases, but if you're into gaming and need more power for multitasking, I'd recommend the 13900F. My friends who game competitively have seen noticeable improvements with it. But ultimately, it depends on your budget and what you plan to do with the CPU.

That's really helpful advice! How about for general use, like browsing the web or streaming? Any thoughts?

I've used both CPUs in my personal projects, and I must say that the 13900F handles daily tasks smoothly. However, if you're on a budget and don't need the extra power, the 11900K is still a reliable option.

Yeah, for general use, I find the 13900F to be more than capable. The additional DDR5 support and PCIe 5.0 make a difference in terms of overall performance.

Thanks for all the input! It seems like the 13900F is the better choice for me based on my needs. I'll look into getting one soon.

Good luck with your decision, @feariarann! Let us know how you like it once you get it up and running.

Absolutely, feel free to reach out if you have any questions later on. Enjoy your new CPU!
