Hey, I'm looking into getting a new CPU for content creation purposes. Has anyone used the Intel Core i9-12900K or the Core i7-12700KF? Any insights would be great!
Intel Core i9-12900K vs Intel Core i7-12700KF for Content Creation

@maryhalls, both are excellent choices! I've personally used the Core i9-12900K, and it's worked wonders for my video editing projects. The extra cores really help with rendering times.
@brianlovestennisball makes a good point. The Core i9-12900K has more cores and a larger L3 cache, which is great for content creation tasks that require higher frequencies and better memory support. I also found this TechReviewer article comparing the two CPUs Intel Core i9-12900K vs. Intel Core i7-12700KF, it might be helpful for you.
Thanks for sharing that, @alexalextan55. After reading the article, it seems like the Core i9-12900K is more suitable for my needs. Still, I'm curious about the overclocking potential of the 12700KF.
The overclocking support for both CPUs is excellent, but the 12900K has an edge with its higher base frequency and greater core count. However, the 12700KF isn't far behind and can still deliver great performance.
I've been using the Core i7-12700KF for a while now in my content creation projects, and it's served me well. While it might not have as many cores or cache as the 12900K, its base frequency is higher, which helps with processing heavy files.
Thanks, @brianlovestennisball and @subinboston. These insights are really helpful. I think I'll go for the Core i9-12900K based on your experiences and the TechReviewer article.
