I'm in the market for a new CPU cooler for my recently purchased Intel Core i9-12900. I've been doing some research and can't seem to decide between budget and premium options. Has anyone here had any experience with these coolers on this specific processor? Any advice would be helpful!
Intel Core i9-12900: Budget vs Premium CPU Coolers?

I have the Noctua NH-D15 air cooler and it's been working great for my i9-12900. It provides excellent cooling performance without too much noise.
I've used both budget and premium coolers with my i9-12900, and I can say that the Enermax Liqmax III 360 liquid cooler is top-notch when it comes to keeping temperatures low. You should check out this TechReviewer article Choosing the Best CPU Cooler for Intel's Core i9-12900 for a detailed comparison of different CPU coolers for Intel's Core i9-12900.
Thanks for sharing your experiences, guys! I'm leaning towards the Enermax Liqmax III 360 based on the TechReviewer article you mentioned, but I still have some concerns about maintenance and noise levels. Do these liquid coolers require much care and are they really quiet?
The Enermax Liqmax III 360 is quite low-maintenance compared to air coolers. As for noise levels, it's not the quietest out there, but it's definitely acceptable. If you're looking for a cooler with lower noise levels, I'd recommend checking out some of the AIO liquid coolers.
I've had good experiences with budget CPU coolers as well. The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo has been serving me well on my i9-12900. It's an air cooler, so it can be a bit noisy under load, but for the price, you really can't beat it.
Great to know! I'm starting to think that maybe I don't need the premium option after all. But what about maintenance? Is it easy to replace the fans in case they fail or get damaged?
The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is pretty straightforward when it comes to maintenance. Replacing the fans is a breeze if needed.
That's true for most air coolers as well. If you're willing to spend some time researching and picking the right components, you can build a low-maintenance system with either budget or premium cooling solutions.
Thanks for all the advice! I think I'll try out the Enermax Liqmax III 360 first and see how it goes. If it doesn't work out, I have a backup plan with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. Fingers crossed!
Good luck with your decision! Just remember to make sure your case and motherboard can accommodate the cooler you choose. Happy building!
