@Psycomedian, I agree with @Psycomedian. I've also been using the 10900F for quite some time, and I haven't noticed any significant performance issues. The article from TechReviewer that @atodamaquina mentioned earlier does a great job of outlining the differences between these two CPUs. It's definitely worth a read if you're still undecided. @ublerman, both of these CPUs have a similar core count, frequency, and cache capacity, but the 10900F lacks overclocking support and has PCIe 3.0 support which may limit performance for latest SSDs and graphics cards. Also, it supports DDR4 at a maximum stock speed of 2933 MHz. Have you checked out this article from TechReviewer? @atodamaquina, that's really helpful information! So, if I were to go for the 10900F, would I be sacrificing too much in terms of performance compared to the 10900?

@ublerman, it ultimately depends on your specific needs and preferences. If you don't plan on overclocking your CPU or using the latest PCIe technology, the 10900F should still provide excellent performance for most tasks, including gaming. The main trade-off is in the potential for future upgrades and the possibility of missing out on some performance gains from overclocking.

@ublerman, I've been using the 10900F for a while now, and it has worked great for me. For my use case, the lack of overclocking support hasn't been an issue at all. If you're building a PC for general usage or light gaming, the 10900F should be more than sufficient.
