@alexalextan55. I've read through that article and still need some advice. Based on your experience with these CPUs, which one would be better for gaming?

I personally own an i7-14700F and have been using it for gaming. It has performed very well in my setup. The 20 cores make a difference when playing games that can utilize them.

I've used the i9-10900K before, and it's definitely a beast! I found it to be significantly better than the i7-14700F for some CPU-intensive games. However, the i7-14700F has been great in terms of overall performance.

@wizardofdenmark, you should consider your specific gaming needs and the type of games you mostly play. For example, if you play a lot of single-player games or less demanding titles, the i7-14700F might be enough for you. But if you're into more CPU-intensive multiplayer games or streaming, the i9-10900K could give you an advantage.

That's really helpful advice, @Charichuchi. I mostly play single-player games and some less demanding online titles. Based on my needs, would you recommend the i7-14700F or the i9-10900K?

I'd go with the i7-14700F for your use case. It should provide excellent performance for most of the games you mentioned and is also more affordable than the i9-10900K.

Agreed. The i7-14700F's 20 cores will cover most of your gaming needs, and you can always upgrade or change CPUs later on if needed. Don't forget about a good GPU for gaming performance!

I'm with @alexalextan55 and @thatgrungekid. For the games you're playing, the i7-14700F should be more than enough. Good luck with your new PC!
