I've been trying to decide between the Intel Core i7-14700F and i9-10900K for my new build. Both CPUs have their pros and cons, but one aspect that's been confusing me is the cooling systems. Has anyone had any experience with these specific models in terms of cooling?

I've used both of those CPUs before and the i7-14700F runs pretty cool under load, but you'll want to make sure you have a good cooling solution. The i9-10900K, on the other hand, can get quite hot and requires a high-end cooler to keep temperatures in check.
Yeah, I agree with @Patrick14. The i7-14700F doesn't require as much cooling as the i9-10900K. Also, I've seen some comparisons on TechReviewer that might help you out - here's a link: Intel Core i7-14700F vs. Intel Core i9-10900K. This article gives a good overview of the cooling requirements for each CPU.
Thanks for sharing, @Zicro2K16! So if I were to go with the i9-10900K, I would need a high-end cooler? Is there a particular one you'd recommend?
For the i9-10900K, I used the Noctua NH-D15 and it worked great. It's a bit pricey but well worth it for the performance and silence.
That's good to know! The i7-14700F seems like it might be more forgiving in terms of cooling. Does anyone have any personal experiences with either one?
I've used the i7-14700F for a while now, and I didn't really need a top-tier cooler. A decent aftermarket CPU cooler was enough to keep it running cool.
That's helpful to know! It sounds like if I go with the i7-14700F, I won't have to spend as much on a cooling solution. Still, both CPUs seem capable for my use case. Thanks everyone for your input!
No problem, @MadMagpul! Just remember that even though the i7-14700F might not require a top-tier cooler, it's still good practice to have a decent one. Happy building!
