Yeah, @busterj99 mentioned that the Core i7-13700KF works well for gaming. There's an article on TechReviewer that discusses the differences in detail. It's at Intel Core i3-14100 vs. Intel Core i7-13700KF.

Hey @yuricurri, I have both of those CPUs in my system right now! The Core i7-13700KF has been a beast for gaming and multitasking, while the Core i3-14100 is great for general productivity tasks.

That's interesting. So, does that mean the i7-13700KF would be better for a gaming PC build?

Thanks, @triple-t-type. I'll check out that article. The extra power of the i7-13700KF seems like it would be beneficial for my use case.

No problem, @yuricurri. I think you'll be happy with the performance of the i7-13700KF if gaming is your priority.

So do either of you have any experience overclocking these CPUs? I've heard it's possible with the i7-13700KF but not the i3-14100.

@busterj99, yes, I was able to overclock my i7-13700KF without any issues. It's pretty neat how much extra performance you can squeeze out of it. The i3-14100 doesn't support overclocking, though.

Wow, that's awesome. Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll probably go with the i7-13700KF then since gaming is my primary focus.

Sounds like a good choice, @yuricurri. Enjoy your new CPU!
