I've had no issues with cooling my i9-9900K in my current setup. You might want to check out the TechReviewer article Intel Core i7-13700K vs. Intel Core i5-13600K for some recommendations on CPU coolers that are compatible with both the i7-13700K and i5-13600K.

I'd say the Intel Core i7-13700K has an edge in gaming due to its higher core count, single-core max turbo boost frequency, and impressive L3 cache. This makes it more suitable for handling resource-intensive tasks in gaming. Have you checked out this TechReviewer article Intel Core i7-13700K vs. Intel Core i5-13600K? It gives a detailed comparison of these two CPUs.

That's interesting! Thanks for sharing the link. I didn't realize that having a higher core count and single-core max turbo boost frequency would make such a difference. Do you think the extra cost of the i7-13700K is worth it for gaming?

It depends on your budget and what other components you're looking to include in your build. If you have the extra budget, the i7-13700K might be worth it for the improved performance. However, if you're on a tighter budget, the i5-13600K is still a solid choice.

I've been using an Intel Core i9-9900K for my gaming setup and I can say that having more cores really makes a difference in some games, especially those with heavy multitasking or when running multiple applications. The extra cost might be worth it if you're planning to upgrade your GPU later on.

That's a good point. Upgrading other components down the line could make the i7-13700K more worthwhile. However, I'm not sure how well my current case can handle a larger CPU cooler. Does anyone have experience with cooling solutions for these CPUs?

Solution

Thanks for the suggestions, @Teenagershelp! I'll definitely take a look at that article. It's helpful to know that cooling solutions might not be an issue if I decide to go with either of these CPUs.

I'd still advise you to consider your budget and long-term plans for upgrading other components. If you're on a tight budget, the i5-13600K is perfectly capable for gaming. Don't let the fear of cooling solutions deter you from making a decision.

Exactly! Just make sure you do some research on the best deals available at the time and don't forget to factor in the cost of a quality GPU as well. Good luck with your build!

I appreciate everyone's input. I'll keep all these factors in mind while making my decision. guys!
