Intel Core i7-13700F vs. i9-12900F Gaming?

Any advice on which CPU would be better for gaming between the Intel Core i7-13700F and the i9-12900F? I'm considering getting one for my new PC build.

The i9-12900F has a higher base frequency and single-core max turbo boost frequency, which can provide better performance in games. However, the i7-13700F offers slightly better DDR5 support with a max stock speed of 5600 MHz compared to the i9-12900F's 4800 MHz.

It's also worth considering that the i9-12900F supports PCIe 5.0 for faster SSDs and graphics cards, while the i7-13700F has slightly better PCIe 5.0 compatibility. Both CPUs have an impressive 30 MB L3 cache.

I'd go with the one that fits your budget better. If you can afford the i9-12900F, it might give you a slight edge in gaming performance due to its higher base frequency and single-core boost. But if cost is a concern, the i7-13700F should still provide great performance.
