Hey @noirvarth, it can be pretty significant! For example, I use DDR5 RAM with my 13700F, and it's made a huge difference in my gaming experience. There's even an article about it at Best RAM for the Intel Core i7-13700F CPU.

Oh really? That's interesting. So is DDR4 also good enough or do I need to upgrade to DDR5 for my setup?

Well, @noirvarth, both DDR4 and DDR5 have their advantages. In the end, it depends on your specific needs. If you're not planning to overclock and don't need the highest speeds, then a good DDR4 RAM like Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 MHz might be enough.

True that @AppleGranny. And if you want to overclock or have more demanding tasks like content creation or video editing, you'll definitely benefit from having a faster RAM. That's when DDR5 starts to show its advantages.

Thanks for the input! So if I'm going to do some light gaming and occasional video editing, would it be worth upgrading to DDR5?

@noirvarth, based on my experience with both DDR4 and DDR5 RAMs, I'd say go for it. You'll notice the difference in performance when doing intensive tasks like gaming or video editing. Plus, you can always find some great deals on DDR5 RAM these days.

That's a good point @cryptolaxy. And there are also options available in terms of speed and capacity. For instance, the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 5600 MHz DDR5 RAM or G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 6000 MHz DDR5 RAM are both excellent choices for the 13700F CPU.

Sounds like I have some research to do! Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll definitely check out those options you mentioned @AppleGranny.

You're welcome, @noirvarth. And remember, it's always good to do your own research as well. Good luck with finding the perfect RAM for your setup!
