I'm trying to decide between the Intel Core i7-13700 and Core i9-9900K for my gaming setup, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer on which one is better. Any suggestions?

I'm glad you found the information helpful, @Hermann1980. Remember that both CPUs are excellent choices for gaming, and it ultimately comes down to personal preference and budget. The TechReviewer article I mentioned earlier can be a good starting point for further research: Intel Core i7-13700 vs. Intel Core i9-9900K.

Both CPUs offer excellent gaming performance, but the Core i7-13700 has a slight edge due to its higher core count, larger L3 cache, better support for DDR5 memory, and PCIe 5.0 technology. The Core i9-9900K supports overclocking and offers good game performance with a high-performance CPU cooler. It's worth noting that the Core i7-13700 has a slightly higher single-core turbo frequency at 5.20 GHz compared to the Core i9-9900K's 5.00 GHz. You can find more information in this TechReviewer article: Intel Core i7-13700 vs. Intel Core i9-9900K.

@CaptainCorn13 Thank you for the information! So, if I'm mostly playing fast-paced games, would you recommend the Core i7-13700 or Core i9-9900K?

I personally prefer the Core i7-13700 because it has a higher core count and better memory support, which can be beneficial for handling multiple tasks simultaneously. If you're mainly focused on gaming, though, the difference might not be significant enough to justify the extra cost.

The Intel Core i7-13700's slightly higher single-core turbo frequency could make a noticeable difference in fast-paced games, so it might be worth considering if that's your primary concern. However, you should also consider other factors such as budget and overall system performance.

@suratmommy@CaptainCorn13 I see, so the Core i7-13700 has some advantages for gaming but isn't a significant jump in performance compared to the Core i9-9900K. It's definitely something to think about. Thanks!

I recently upgraded my CPU and went with the Core i7-13700, and I must say it performs really well in games. The higher core count and better memory support make a noticeable difference, especially when playing fast-paced games like FPS titles. However, don't underestimate the power of a high-performance GPU for gaming performance.

@wheatthin92 That's good to know! It seems like the Core i7-13700 is a solid choice for gaming. I'll have to keep that in mind while deciding on my GPU as well. Thanks for your input!
