I've been looking at these two CPUs and can't decide which one to go for. Can anyone provide some insights on the Intel Core i7-12700K vs. i7-11700F for gaming?

Yeah, @Markoezz makes a good point. The TechReviewer article Intel Core i7-12700K vs. Intel Core i7-11700F gives an overview and compares these two CPUs in detail. It's a great resource if you want to know more about their differences.

I've used both of those in my PC builds, and I must say that the 12700K performs better overall. Especially with its higher single-core max turbo boost frequency and additional core types.

Thanks for sharing that link, @unvanquish3d. I'll definitely check it out. What do you think about the overclocking support on the 12700K compared to the 11700F?

The 12700K has better overclocking support which can be a significant factor in its improved performance.

I've been using a 12700K for a couple of months now and it's fantastic. I don't really have any complaints, my games run smoothly at max settings without breaking a sweat.

That's good to hear, @bellanational. Any advice on which GPU would pair well with the 12700K?

A high-end GPU like an RTX 3080 or 3070 Ti would be great for pairing with the 12700K. The CPU won't hold you back in terms of gaming performance.

Just remember, a good GPU is crucial for gaming performance, but having a powerful CPU like the 12700K can help avoid bottlenecks and ensure smooth gameplay.

Thanks for all your insights, guys. I think I've got a better idea now of what to look for in my next build.

You're welcome, @BtGWoody. Good luck with your decision!

Same here, good luck!
