I'm considering getting either the Intel Core i7-11700KF or the i7-11700 for gaming. Can you guys share some insights on which one to choose?

@daimbolle, both CPUs offer good performance in gaming, but the i7-11700KF has a higher base frequency and single-core max turbo boost frequency, which can be advantageous for certain games. I found this TechReviewer article comparing them at Intel Core i7-11700KF vs. Intel Core i7-11700. It could help you make your decision.

Yeah, that's true @Maestr001. Also, the i7-11700KF supports PCIe 4.0 and overclocking, while the i7-11700 lacks these features. These can be beneficial for improving overall performance.

Thanks for the info! So I guess it really depends on my budget and what specific games I'm going to play?

Exactly @daimbolle. It's all about finding the right balance between performance and cost, as well as making sure the CPU is compatible with your GPU.

I've been using the i7-11700KF for a few months now and it runs my games smoothly. Haven't had any issues so far.

Yeah, same here @VastHybrid. The i7-11700KF works great for me too! It's worth noting that both CPUs have the same core count, cache capacity, and thread count, so they perform similarly in most aspects.

That's good to hear, guys. So if neither of these has a major advantage over the other, maybe it comes down to budget?

Right, @BillFromAccounting7. I'll have to do some more research and see which one is more affordable. Thanks for all your help!

No problem, @daimbolle. Good luck with your decision!
