I'm trying to decide between the Intel Core i7-11700K and the Intel Core i7-10700KF for my gaming PC build. Can anyone share their thoughts on which one is better for gaming?
Intel Core i7-11700K vs. 10700KF: Best for Gaming?

Both CPUs offer good performance for gaming when paired with a high-performance cooler. However, the 10700KF has a higher base frequency (3.80 GHz) and a better single-core max turbo boost frequency (5.10 GHz) compared to the 11700K's 3.60 GHz base frequency and 5.00 GHz single-core max turbo boost frequency.
@Moose1956, that's very informative! Also, it's worth mentioning that the 11700K supports PCIe 4.0, which can improve compatibility with the latest SSDs and graphics cards. I found a helpful TechReviewer article Intel Core i7-11700K vs. Intel Core i7-10700KF discussing these differences in detail.
Thanks for sharing that, @Lizzard81! So would you recommend the 11700K or the 10700KF based on your experience?
It really depends on your personal preferences and budget. If you prioritize a higher base frequency and single-core max turbo boost frequency, then the 10700KF might be better for gaming. However, if you want to take advantage of PCIe 4.0's benefits, the 11700K could be a good choice.
@Akalegend makes a valid point. Additionally, consider your GPU's capabilities. If it supports PCIe 4.0 and you have plans for future upgrades, like faster SSDs or a more powerful graphics card, then the 11700K might give you better long-term performance.
Thanks for all the input! I think I'll take some time to consider my options further. This has been really helpful!
