I've been trying to decide between the Intel Core i7-11700 and i5-11400 for my new gaming PC build. Has anyone here had experience with either of these CPUs? Any advice would be helpful!

Yeah, I recently upgraded my setup with an i7-11700, and it's been fantastic! The additional cores really make a difference in performance, especially in more demanding games.
I've also used both of those CPUs for gaming. While the i5-11400 is still great, the extra cores on the i7-11700 are definitely an advantage for heavy games. Plus, it has better overclocking potential.

Yep, I'm glad I went with the i7-11700. The additional cores have made a huge difference in my gaming experience. And as @agresticoak mentioned, it has better overclocking potential too.
That's great to hear, @clevernamehere1328. Just remember that having more CPU cores can be beneficial for games that utilize them effectively. But most modern games don't benefit from having more than 6-8 cores.
