I've been looking at the Intel Core i7-10700 and i9-9900 for a few days now, trying to figure out which one would be better for multi-threaded performance. Any thoughts?
Intel Core i7-10700 vs i9-9900 Multi-Threaded Performance?

I'm currently using the i7-10700 and it's working great for me. The TechReviewer article Intel Core i7-10700 vs. Intel Core i9-9900 goes over some of its specifications in detail. You should check it out!
Thanks, @trowerend. I appreciate your input. From what I've read, the base frequency seems to be a big factor when it comes to multi-threaded performance.
Yeah, that's true! The i9-9900 has a higher base frequency at 3.10 GHz compared to the i7-10700's 2.90 GHz. That could make a difference in certain applications.
I've actually used both of these CPUs before, and let me tell you, the i9-9900 really shines when it comes to multi-threaded workloads. The higher base frequency definitely helps!
Interesting! So would you recommend getting the i9-9900 for multi-threaded performance then?
Well, @egraider, I'm curious, did you have any issues with heat or cooling when using the i9-9900? I've heard that those CPUs can get pretty toasty.
Not really! I used a high-end cooler and didn't experience any issues. The i9-9900's single-core max turbo boost frequency is also 5.00 GHz, which is great for performance.
That's good to know. Thanks for sharing your experience, @egraider. It seems like the i9-9900 might be the better choice for me since I need it for multi-threaded workloads.
Just remember that both CPUs have their strengths and weaknesses, so make sure to consider your specific needs before making a decision. Good luck!
