Thanks everyone for the advice! I think I'll start by checking out the TechReviewer article Choosing the Best Motherboard for Intel's Core i5-9500 that @MotiVEsports shared and see what chipsets suit me best. Once again, appreciate all the help!

Welcome, @sloths4eva! To choose the best motherboard for your Core i5-9500, you'll need one with an LGA 1151 socket and a 300-series chipset since it doesn't support overclocking. Check out this TechReviewer article Choosing the Best Motherboard for Intel's Core i5-9500 which gives a detailed comparison of chipsets compatible with the i5-9500. I'd recommend starting there for some guidance.

@MotiVEsports, thanks for the link! I'm also considering factors like memory overclocking, video output ports, storage options, connectivity (USB), audio outputs, and the form factor. Any recommendations on what to look out for in these areas?

You're welcome, @DomanoSV. For memory overclocking, you'll want a chipset that supports it. In terms of video output ports, make sure your motherboard has HDMI if you plan on using the integrated graphics. As for storage, M.2 slots and SATA ports are essential, with Z390, Z370, and Q370 chipsets offering more PCIe 3.0 lanes. For connectivity, ensure there are enough USB ports at the speeds you need. Audio-wise, check for rear and center speaker ports or optical input if necessary. Lastly, ATX is the most common form factor, but Mini-ITX and MicroATX work in standard ATX cases.

@MotiVEsports, that's really helpful! I've been looking at Z370 and B365 chipsets, but I'm not sure if they're compatible with my processor. Could you confirm?

@sloths4eva, both the Z370 and B365 chipsets are indeed compatible with your Core i5-9500 processor. The Z370 offers more advanced features for overclocking and high-end gaming, while the B365 is a more budget-friendly option.

@sloths4eva, you might also want to consider factors like customer reviews, brand reputation, and price when making your decision. Don't forget to check compatibility with your existing hardware and case.

Great point, @quantumperson! It's always good to keep an eye on those aspects too. Good luck with your search, @sloths4eva!
