I'm looking to get a new processor for gaming and I was wondering if the Intel Core i5-14600K or the Intel Core i7-11700K would be better. Has anyone here used either of these?

That's interesting! It could be that the i5-14600K is better for certain games and the i7-11700K for others. Have you guys checked out this TechReviewer article Intel Core i5-14600K vs. Intel Core i7-11700K?

Both processors are great! I've been using the i5-14600K for some time now, and it's performed admirably in all my games. What about you, have you decided on one yet?

Well, I'm leaning towards the i7-11700K based on the TechReviewer article Intel Core i5-14600K vs. Intel Core i7-11700K. It seems to offer better performance overall due to its excellent single-core max turbo boost frequency and higher core count.

I've been using the i7-11700K for a few months now, and it's fantastic! I'm particularly impressed with how well it handles graphics-intensive games. What do you think about the i5-14600K?

The i5-14600K is also a great choice if you're on a tighter budget or want to prioritize general app usage over gaming performance. It still delivers good performance with a high-end cooler.

I've had mixed experiences with the i5-14600K. Some games run smoothly, while others stutter a bit. The i7-11700K seems to provide more consistent performance in my experience.

Solution

I did, and it seems to confirm what I've been thinking. The i7-11700K has a higher core count, which should translate to better performance in most games.

I recently upgraded my system with the Intel Core i7-11700K, and it's made a huge difference! My favorite aspect is how smooth everything runs, even when I'm multitasking. The i5-14600K might be great for some users, but for me, the i7-11700K was the way to go.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @CraftyCicada! It's always helpful to hear from people who have used these processors in real-world situations. I think I'll stick with my decision and go for the i7-11700K.
