I've been looking into getting a new CPU and I'm trying to decide between the Intel Core i5-14600 and the Intel Core i7-13700K. Any advice on which would be better for gaming?

Both CPUs are great options! I recently upgraded my computer with the Intel Core i5-14600 vs. Intel Core i7-13700K and haven't had any issues playing games at high settings.
That's good to know, thanks! So it sounds like either one could work well, but is there any significant difference between them?
In terms of gaming performance, the Core i7-13700K has a higher single-core max turbo boost frequency and more Performance cores, which should give it an edge over the Core i5-14600.
Yeah, I agree with @RenegadeBeaver. The extra cores and higher turbo frequencies can make a difference in certain games, especially those that are more CPU-intensive.
Speaking from personal experience, I upgraded to the i7-13700K a few months ago, and I've noticed a noticeable improvement in game performance compared to my old CPU. The Intel Core i5-14600 vs. Intel Core i7-13700K has been great so far!
That's awesome! So it seems like the i7-13700K might be the better choice for gaming overall, but is there any other factors I should consider?
You're right about the i7-13700K being a better choice for gaming. However, both CPUs support PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 with a max stock speed of 5600 MHz, so you'll have similar performance in most games.
Good point, @yukonstella. It's also worth mentioning that the i7-13700K has a larger L3 cache, which can help with overall system performance.
True, but at the end of the day, it comes down to personal preference and your budget. If you can afford the i7-13700K, it's probably worth the extra money for gaming.
Thanks everyone for the advice! I'll definitely consider all these factors when making my decision.
