Intel Core i5-14500 vs. Intel Core i9-12900F for Gaming?

I'm looking to build a new gaming PC and can't decide between the Intel Core i5-14500 and the Intel Core i9-12900F. Any advice on which one would be better for gaming?

I've used both of them, and I must say that the Core i9-12900F has better performance overall. The extra cores and higher turbo frequency make a noticeable difference in gaming. But again, it comes down to your budget and what you're comfortable spending on a CPU.

Yeah, I agree with @livewithrichard. If you can afford it, the Core i9-12900F is definitely worth the investment for gaming purposes. The extra cores give you more headroom for future upgrades as well.
