The TechReviewer article Intel Core i5-14500 vs. Intel Core i7-11700K also mentions that while a good GPU is crucial for gaming performance, the CPU can also have a significant impact, especially in games that utilize multiple cores.

For general use, both the i5-14500 and i7-11700K will perform well, but the i7 has more cores and a higher base frequency, which can be advantageous in certain scenarios.

I'd say that both CPUs are good for gaming, but it ultimately depends on your budget and specific needs. If you're on a tight budget, the i5-14500 might be a better choice. However, if you have extra cash to spare, the i7-11700K could offer slightly better performance.

I've been using both of these CPUs for gaming, and I can say that the i7-11700K has been performing better for me. The higher core count definitely makes a difference in some games.

Solution

I agree with you both. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference and budget. If I were in your shoes, I would try both CPUs in my system and see which one feels better for me.

That's a good idea, @gluczkowski2. It might be worth trying both out and seeing which one gives you more satisfaction in terms of gaming performance.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll probably test both CPUs and make a decision based on my personal experience.
