@alexisdevaul makes a good point. You should also consider the ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi 6E for the top choice, while the MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4 Gaming Motherboard is a great option for best value. Hey, I'm not an expert but I think you'll need a motherboard with an LGA 1700 socket and a compatible 700-series or 600-series chipset for your Intel Core i5-14500 CPU.

Thanks for your suggestions, @LarsofArcana! I was also wondering if anyone had any insights into memory overclocking capabilities of the 14500? Do I need a specific chipset for that?

@cambrose89, you might be interested to know that the Intel Core i5-14500 does not support overclocking. So, you won't need to use top-tier Z690-based or Z790-based motherboards that usually come with overclocking capabilities.

Glad we could help, @cambrose89! Remember, it's always important to double-check that the motherboard supports all the features and capabilities you desire.

@cambrose89, make sure to read up on connectivity options like USB ports, audio outputs, and video output ports. These can make a big difference in your overall experience with the system.

Great advice, @LarsofArcana. I'll be sure to look into those aspects when making my final decision. Thanks again for all the help!
