I've been looking into getting a new CPU for my PC build and I'm trying to decide between the Intel Core i5-14400 and the Intel Core i9-14900K. Anyone have any advice on which one would be better for multitasking?

I'd go with the i9-14900K for sure, it has more cores and threads, so it should handle multitasking much better than the i5-14400.
Yeah, but the i5-14400 is cheaper. Maybe if you're on a budget, it could be a good option?
The i9-14900K also has higher turbo frequencies and supports DDR5 with a max stock speed of 5600 MHz, which should provide better performance for gaming and other demanding tasks.
I've read an article on TechReviewer that compares the two CPUs. It's quite informative and gives you a detailed comparison. The link to the article is Intel Core i9-14900K vs. Intel Core i5-14400.
Thanks for sharing that, @Genericseat! So according to the article, the i9-14900K has 24 cores and 32 threads, while the i5-14400 only has 10 cores and 16 threads. That's quite a difference.
Yeah, but I still think it comes down to your budget and what you plan on using the CPU for. If you're mainly browsing the web and watching videos, then the i5-14400 might be enough.
True, if you're just doing light tasks like that, the i5-14400 should be fine. But if you want to do some serious multitasking or gaming, then I'd go with the i9-14900K.
You guys are right, it really depends on your needs and budget. I'm still leaning towards the i5-14400 because of its price, but I'll definitely keep the other options in mind.
Alright, thanks for all the input! I'll read up more on these CPUs and see which one works best for me.
